Episode 100: The Big 1-0-0!

We finally did it – we recorded our 100th episode! And for a big episode, GW dropped a big codex on us – Codex: Eldar Craftworlds! How have the Space Elves changed? Is it all Scatterbikes and D-Weapons now? Is there good to be found here amidst the possible overpoweredness? Rob, Kevin, Dennis, and Richard give the book a solid once-over as we discuss what has and hasn’t changed. Also, we announce the winner of our Land Raider Giveaway, and start a new contest, as well as provide a couple of options for your Memorial Day Weekend gaming plans.

First time listener, and I loved it. I’m definitely going to go back and listen to more before the next cast hits. It was entertaining and super informative. Great work guys!

Hello, do you think it would be possible to stop using profanities in the podcast? It means I can’t listen to it with children around.

As a parent of two young daughters, I understand where you’re coming from, and I don’t want to seem insensitive to your concerns. That said, what we record is how our gaming group talks when we get together, and sometimes that does include a bit of salty language. That’s the reason we have the “Explicit” tag, and if I had to rate us like a movie, I’d say we’re a hard PG-13.

What I can promise, though, is that we’ll never be crude just for the sake of being crude or shocking. We’re not shock jocks, and we won’t go out of our way to offend for offensiveness’ sake. We may drop the occasional F-bomb, but that’s as far as it goes, and they’re definitely in the minority of words we use.

I appreciate your response, but factually, the only reason (in most cases) to be crude is for crudity’s sake. To say that a unit has, for example, a “fuckload” of attacks is not more descriptive or emphatic or anything else than saying “lot”.
